"Good Night Angel" (1938)
Jumping back to 1938, we arrive at RKO’s “Radio City Revels,” which is another sort-of all-star B-movie cast picture!
Popular radio singer Kenny Baker introduced the hit song “Good Night Angel” in the film, but he didn’t record it commercially.
Here’s a nice version by Artie Shaw on Brunswick Records back when he was still billed as “Art Shaw” with a vocal from Nita Bradley:
I don’t think Artie Shaw was capable of making a bad record!
